Description:
RCL FOODS, through its subsidiary Siqalo Foods, is inviting passionate and driven South African jobseekers to apply for the Quality Inservice Trainee positions. The successful applicants will be responsible for ensuring that products meet high-quality standards and specifications, conducting laboratory testing, and supporting the company’s quality assurance operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry, Food Technology, or Biotechnology.
- Must have completed Level 4/5 theory studies.
- Working knowledge of analytical equipment such as GC, pH meter, and NMR.
- Understanding of acid-base titrations and gravimetric testing techniques.
- Strong commitment to laboratory safety and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand and implement Quality Management Systems, policies, and procedures.
- Verify product quality and consumer safety for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Prepare finished goods samples for sensory evaluations.
- Conduct aseptic sampling and analytical testing on packaging materials.
- Perform line inspections and monitor CIP (Clean-in-Place) processes.
- Manage sample storage, record keeping, and data reporting for lab analyses.
- Conduct daily equipment calibration and verification.
- Raise NCA/QEWO reports for non-conforming products or processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement programmes, safety meetings, and internal audits.
