Job Summary:

As a Frontshop Assistant at Dis-Chem Palm Court, you’ll ensure that merchandise is properly displayed, shelves are fully stocked, and customers receive friendly, helpful service. You’ll also assist with stock rotation, maintain store organization, and uphold Dis-Chem’s merchandising policies to maximize sales and enhance the customer experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Restock shelves promptly and ensure merchandise is displayed correctly.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damaged, or expired items.
  • Apply the FIFO (First-In-First-Out) principle to maintain stock freshness.
  • Keep the storeroom clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Follow Dis-Chem’s merchandising procedures and visual layout standards.
  • Ensure all pricing labels are accurate and visible.
  • Assist customers with product queries in a polite and professional manner.
  • Support loading, off-loading, and unpacking of stock deliveries.
  • Adhere to company uniform, safety, and hygiene policies.
  • Assist with training of new staff when required.

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • 0 – 6 months retail experience
