Department of Basic Education (DBE) Senior Personnel Officer (Recruitment & PMDS)

The Department of Basic Education (DBE) is calling on South African jobseekers to apply for the
position of Senior Personnel Officer (Recruitment & PMDS). The successful applicants will be
responsible for managing recruitment processes, performance management administration, and
providing critical HR support within the department.

Requirements:

Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification
Knowledge of relevant policies and legislation
Good organisational skills
Communication skills (verbal and written)
Computer skills
Interpersonal relations skills
Ability to deal with confidential matters
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Placing advertisements of vacant posts
  • Sorting and capturing of application forms for advertised posts
  • Arranging interviews
  • Taking minutes and writing submissions/memos
  • Compiling unsuccessful letters
  • Verifying qualifications and criminal records
  • Assisting with the Performance Management Development System (PMDS)
  • Filing of Performance Agreements, Mid-Year Reviews, and Annual Assessment forms
  • Capturing Performance Agreements, Mid-Year Reviews, and Annual Assessments on PERSAL
  • Arranging meetings and other delegated duties
