The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC), a member of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic), is inviting young South African graduates to apply for its Finance Graduate Internship Programme 2025.

Programme Summary:
The CIPC Graduate Internship Programme forms part of a national effort to empower South African youth through structured workplace training.
Interns will gain practical experience in the finance department, working alongside experienced professionals while developing key technical and interpersonal skills.
According to CIPC, “Internship is a public service graduate work experience programme targeting unemployed graduates. It gives students workplace experience or an opportunity to practice the work skills that they have studied and will use in the future.”
Participants will receive mentorship, professional development, and exposure to key financial processes within a leading government institution.
What the Programme Offers:
- A 24-month structured training and mentorship programme in a professional finance environment.
- Exposure to public financial management systems, accounting practices, and compliance processes.
- Opportunities to gain real-world work experience aligned with your qualification.
- A monthly stipend of R12 000 to support you throughout your internship period.
To qualify for the internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
Eligibility:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be unemployed and between 18 and 35 years old.
- Must not have participated in any previous internship programme.
- Must not have previous full-time work experience.
