Role Purpose

The Facilities Management Intern will support the GFM team by monitoring meeting room usage and workplace facilities. The role focuses on data collection, verification, and analysis, helping the organisation better understand space utilisation and operational efficiency. This position is ideal for candidates interested in operations, facilities management, or data analysis.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct hourly site walks to inspect meeting rooms and facilities
  • Record the number of people present in each meeting room
  • Cross-check room usage against Microsoft Outlook bookings
  • Capture and maintain accurate electronic records
  • Analyse collected data to identify usage trends and insights
  • Report discrepancies or facility issues to the Facilities Manager
  • Assist with additional facilities management tasks when required

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently studying or recently graduated in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office 365
  • Basic understanding of data entry and data analysis
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive, responsible, and professional attitude

Advantageous Skills and Experience

  • Experience using Excel or Power BI
  • Previous exposure to facilities management or operational roles
  • Familiarity with electronic data capture systems
